Alberta C. Phillips

Alberta C. (Walters) Phillips, 88, of East Hartford, beloved wife of Donald R. Phillips, died peacefully, Thursday March 24, 2016 at an area convalescent home. Alberta was born March 1, 1928 in Hartford, daughter of the late Harry & Florence (Perham) Walters. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Nazarene in Manchester and prior to her retirement she had been a secretary with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters and their husbands, June & Robert Rusconi of The Villages, FL., Karen and Duane Bentley of Westchester , OH., five grandchildren, Mark Rusconi and his wife Mary of Kennebunkport, ME., Michael Rusconi and his wife Nikki of Denver, CO., Peter and Jessica Rusconi Komar of Huntersville, NC., Donald Bentley and his wife Angela of Round Rock, TX. and Scott Bentley and his wife April of West Carrolton, OH. and ten great grandchildren . Other survivors include two step-daughters, Marty Bailey and her husband Herbert of Vernon, Joyce Bradley and her husband James of Columbia, and numerous step grand and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Alberta was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers, Hope Sasportas, Charlotte Locascio, Charlie Walters, Tink Walters and Buck Walters. Funeral services will be private with burial in the Hillstown Rd Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
