Albert E. Kvart, 70, of Vernon, loving husband of 42 years of Rose (Abshere) Kvart died peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 with his family at his side. Al was born on October 24, 1947 in Hartford son of the late Albert E. Kvart Sr. and Mary (Sullivan) Kvart. He was employed for 42 years as a sheet metal mechanic for Union Local #40 in Rocky Hill and before retirement worked for many years at Palmer Sheet Metal in Windsor. Al enjoyed spending days at the beach, camping and he loved family gatherings when everyone was together.
In addition to his wife Rose he is survived by his son Eric Kvart and his wife Nicki and their son Drew all of Framingham, MA, his daughter Christina (Kvart) Gladden and her children; Kirsten and Skye all of Manchester, his sister Mary Angeli and her husband Jack of Manchester, two nephews; Christopher Angeli of Connecticut, Jayson Angeli and his wife Samantha of Atlanta, GA and his brother-in-law Roger Abshere of Manchester. In addition to his parents Al was predeceased by his son-in-law, Nathan Gladden. Calling hours will be held at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 4-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:30 am at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St. Manchester. Burial will follow in Valley Falls Cemetery, Vernon.
