Albert H. ''Al'' Larocque

Albert H. "Al" LaRocque, 69, of Manchester, beloved husband of 48 years to Christine M. (Hawley) LaRocque passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Al was born January 6, 1947 in Hartford son of the late Albert H. LaRocque Sr. and Elizabeth (Egan) LaRocque. He had been a resident of Manchester for over 45 years. Al was patriotic to his country, serving in the US Army in the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement he was a Driver for UPS for over 30 years. He then opened and operated AHL Landscaping Services in Manchester. Al was a parishioner of St. Bartholomew Church in Manchester. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Riders. He loved the Red Sox, NY Giants, fishing in Seymour Lake in Vermont and riding his Harley. In addition to his wife Christine, Al leaves his daughter and son-in-law; Kelley and Jody Young of West Glover, VT, his sister; Margaret LaRocque of Hot Springs, SD, his mother-in-law; Mildred Hawley of Coventry, his sister-in-law; Donna Kutno and her husband Larry of Seffner, FL, godson Jason Kutno and his wife, Stephanie and many extended family members and very dear lifetime friends. Family and friends are welcome to attend visitation on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 3-6 pm at Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center St. Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Bartholomew Church, 45 Ludlow Road, Manchester. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial with military honors will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester. Memorial contributions may be made to The Jimmy Fund, c/o Dana Farber Cancer Institute PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
