Yvette (Brabant) Matusz, 94, of Manchester, loving wife of the late Ernest A. Matusz died peacefully on Friday, November 23, 2018 in Manchester. She was born on March 28, 1924 in Fall River, Massachusetts daughter of the late Hector and Yvonne (Lincourt) Brabant. Yvette was raised in Fall River, attended local schools and had been a resident of Manchester since 1950. She was a longtime Communicant of St. Rose Church in East Hartford. Yvette enjoyed playing and was a talented violinist. She was a 30 year member of the Manchester Symphony Orchestra and a longtime member of the Manchester Senior Band. Yvette is survived by her niece Dorothy Mazulaitis and her husband Zigmas of Appomattox, VA, her nephew & Godson William Matusz and his wife Cathy of Durham, several other nieces, nephews and their families and her longtime dear friend Janet Kremidas of South Windsor and her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at North American Martyrs Parish, St. Rose Church, 33 Church St. in East Hartford on Monday, December 3, 2018, at 10 am. Burial will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester. There are no calling hours. Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, Manchester has care of the arrangements.
