Rita (Hadden) Davidson, 92, of Manchester, beloved wife of 64 years to the late Lloyd A. Davidson died peacefully at home on Thursday, November 8, 2018. She was born on September 12, 1926 in Manchester daughter of the late Thomas and Rebecca (Martin) Hadden. Rita was raised in Manchester, attended local schools and had been a lifelong resident. She was a lifelong active and dedicated member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Manchester. Rita was a member of the church’s; Altar Guild, Girls Friendly Society and the Episcopal Church Women. Rita provided a warm and nurturing home for her family and also worked to help others through volunteer projects at her church and the Red Cross. She enjoyed many crafts including sewing, quilting, knitting, and needlework, and passed on these interests to her daughter. She also enjoyed watching UCONN Women’s basketball with her family. Rita was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be forever missed by her two children; Candy Eissa of Manchester and Bruce Davidson and his wife Linda of Columbia , her loving granddaughter Tracy Eissa and her husband Matthew Oleksiw and her cherished great-grandsons Lucas and Jacob Oleksiw, all of Tolland. She is also survived by her two sisters and best friends; Edna Harris of Manchester and Eleanor Brook of Coventry, along with several nieces, nephews and their families. A calling hour will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 10-11 am at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 41 Park St. in Manchester followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.
