Mary Anne (Anderson) Chapman, 85, of Myerstown, PA., formerly a longtime resident of Manchester, wife of the late Omar Chapman and William Kingsley Jr. passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 with her daughter and granddaughter at her side. She was born on June 12, 1933 in Manchester, one of five children of the late Carl and Gwendolyn (Long) Anderson. Mary Anne was employed for several years as a Clerk for J.C. Penny until her retirement in 1998. Prior to that she worked as a food service supervisor at the former Meadows Nursing Home in Manchester. She was a former member of Center Congregational Church in Manchester. She was also very involved in the Boy Scouts of America as a den mother for many years. Mary Anne is survived by her three children and their spouses; Brian and Eva Kingsley of Massachusetts, Milton and Laura Kingsley of Florida and Ann Marie Dunkle and Dayne Weiss of Pennsylvania with whom she made her home. Nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, her brother Rev. Donald Anderson of Georgia and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her husband and parents Mary Anne was predeceased by her son Lawrence Kingsley and her three brothers; Arthur, Leo and Robert. A time of visitation will be held at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St. in Manchester on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 10-11 am with a service to begin at 11 am. Burial will follow in East Cemetery in Manchester. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
