Kimberly Jayne Homans, 51, lifelong resident of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 6, 2019, with her family by her side. Kim was born in Hartford on April 30, 1967, to the late Robert and Harriet (Fletcher) Homans.
Kim attended the Coventry school system and was a graduate of Coventry High School, Class of 1985. She was an avid dancer throughout her life and danced with the Richard Risley Dance Studio for many years. Kim was also very involved with the Windham Theater Guild. There, she was a director, stage manager, house manager, lighting tech and actress. Her involvement will be missed to all who had the pleasure working with her.
Kim is survived by her sisters Linda Homans-Marcil of Chicopee, MA, and Virginia Crocker and her husband John of Sunbury, NC. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Michael Marcil, Peter Homans, Monica Marcil, Raymond Marcil and Matthew Marcil and their families. She also leaves behind her loving cat, Harry James, who will miss her very much.
A time of visitation for Kim will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 11-12 p.m. with a service to begin at 12 p.m. at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St, Manchester. Burial will be Oak Grove Cemetery, Oaks Bluff, MA, at a later date. Memorial contributions in Kim’s name may be made to the Willimantic Theater Guild, P.O. Box 802, Willimantic, CT 06226.
