Janie Currier Obituary

Janie B. (Allen) Currier, 91, of Hartford, wife of the late Leonard “Leo” Currier, passed away peacefully at Saint Mary Home in West Hartford on Sunday, March 17, 2019. She was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on July 14, 1927, daughter of the late Luther and Mae Bell (Jones) Allen. Janie was employed at Kimberly Hall located in Windsor, CT prior to her retirement. She was always a well-dressed woman and enjoyed traveling. She was a kind and generous person to all who knew her. Janie is survived by her sister Willie Gallant Cirigliano, her companion of over 30 years Willey Wiggins, nieces Brenda Earley of Georgia, Sherry Van Haaften of Cheshire, Elissa Mange of Southington and predeceased by a niece Martha Frappier and nephew George Lewis and several brothers. She also had several great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. There are no calling hours and burial will be private. Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, Manchester, is in care of her arrangements.
