Hoyt S. Grant Jr., at the age of 96, passed away peacefully in Fort Myers, FL on July 8, 2019. He was loved, supported and cared for by his family and friends during his final days of his most amazing life.
He led a full life with a smile on his face and had a show tune to sing at any moment. A proud Marine from WWII, devoted husband, father and friend with words of wisdom to share upon asking. He was a legendary graphic arts industry leader and his innovative thinking influenced so many.
With his wife Vera Semanko Grant (1923-2008), a proud “Semper Fi” Marine, the two combed the continent by land, sea and air – RVs, sailboats and planes and their adventurous and creative approach inspired many.
His goal was to really live life and create special moments by leaving memories to cherish. He learned to “Pay it Forward” and did “Random Acts of Kindness” before it was fashionable.
Hoyt is survived by the families of his four loving children:
Genelle, with husband Richard (FL) and sons Erin (CO), Dylan and wife Carolyn (FL).
Gari, with husband Don (FL) and son Elliot (father Walter Sudal – deceased).
Gayna, with husband Doug (AZ).
Skip (Hoyt III) with wife Rita (NY) and sons Garrison(NY), Hanson(MA) and daughter Martina(NY.)
