Constance J. “Connie” (Flavell) Fastiggi, 87, of East Hartford, wife of over 50 years to the late Michael Fastiggi, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 14, 2018. Connie was born in Manchester on December 29, 1930 to the late Howard and Virginia (Maple) Flavell.
Connie grew up in Manchester, attended local schools and was a graduate of Manchester High School. When she was nineteen, Connie moved to East Hartford and has been a resident since. She had been employed with Aetna Insurance for over 15 years before her retirement in 1990. She loved spending time outdoors, but her greatest gift was being able to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her had the chance to see the kind, caring, warm hearted person she was. She was loved by so many people that will miss her dearly. Connie was also a communicant of St. Christopher Church of St. Edmund Campion Parish.
Mrs. Fastiggi leaves behind her two children, Stephen M. Fastiggi, of East Hartford and her daughter Patricia Carabino of Manchester; a brother Donald Flavell of Manchester; four grandchildren Matthew, Naomi, Louie and Stephen, as well as two great-grandchildren Taylor and Diedra. In addition to her parents and husband, Connie was predeceased by her brother Gilbert Flavell and her son-in-law Anthony Carabino. The family of Mrs. Fastiggi would like to personally thank all of the nurses and staff at Manchester Manor for their loving care throughout this difficult time.
