Arthur D Starkweather, 57, lifelong resident of Manchester, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. Arthur was born in Manchester on November 16, 1961, to Donald Starkweather and Laura (Witham) Roy.
Arthur grew up in Manchester, attended local schools and was a graduate of Manchester High School, Class of 1980. Arthur was quite the movie buff. Any genre interested him, but his favorites were anything Sci-Fi related, especially Star Wars. He was also a fan of 80’s Rock, preferably Def Leppard, Journey and AD/DC. While Arthur was working, he was a clerk for Big Y Supermarkets for over 11 years.
Arthur leaves behind his son, Paul Starkweather of VT; his mother, Laura W. Roy of Manchester; his sister, Laurie LeBlanc of Coventry, and his brother, Ronald Starkweather of Manchester along with many cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father, Donald Sr., his daughter, Robyn Lyn Starkweather and his brother, Donald Jr.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019, from 10-11 a.m. with a service to begin at 11 a.m. at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St, Manchester. Inurnment will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester. Memorial donations in Arthur’s name may be made to the American School for the Deaf, 139 N. Main St, W. Hartford, CT 06107.
