Ann T. (Nahas) Nassiff, 97, of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Salem “Sam” Nassiff passed away peacefully at home on February 14, 2019 surrounded by family. She was born on July 8, 1921 in Willimantic one of five children of the late Joseph and Anisse Nahas. Ann was raised in Willimantic and was a 1943 graduate of the Willimantic State Teacher’s College. Prior to retirement, she was VP of Nassiff Camera Shop, Main Street, Manchester. Ann was a longtime Communicant of St. Bartholomew Church and was a 45 year member of the Women’s Syrian & Lebanese-American Club. She is survived by her daughters; Joan Nassiff and Tim Duell of Manchester, Nancy Nassiff of Sarasota, FL, Theresa Nassiff of Manchester and Ellen Nassiff-Shea of Pawley’s Island, SC, her son-in-law Mark Demko of Vernon, our sister, Olabumie Messeh-Mensah, whos’ love has nourished Mom’s body and soul, eight loving and special grandchildren; Anessa Hamel and Jamie Dery of NH, Luke Nassiff of FL, Matthew Dittmann and his spouse Nicole of Colchester, Christopher Dittmann and his spouse Olivia of FL, Jonathan Shea and his spouse Basma of NC, Dan Shea of NC, Beau Demko and his spouse Colleen of Coventry and Bailey Demko-Kohn and her spouse Brian of Manchester, eight great-grandchildren; Grace, Malek, Lauren, Hailey, Christopher, Claire, Derek and Paige, the immeasurable loving support of Bob Troy and Sally Kilbaski and the Angels from the VNA and several nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her daughter Mary Ann Demko, her sister Rose and brothers; Edward, John and Nicholas Nahas. Calling hours will be held at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St. in Manchester on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 10-11:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm at St. Bartholomew Church, 45 Ludlow Road, Manchester. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Manchester. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish.
